Orchids

This painting was done in Gouaghe
and Watercolor. It is based on a
photograph of orchids I have growing
at home. This painting was completed
in May, 2002 while a student at
Virginia Commonwealth University.

Pantheon

This is my first attempt at Oil
painting. It has an Acrylic
under painting and is based
on a photograph I took in Rome,
Italy in 1996. The painting was
completed in November 2001
while a student at Virginia
Commonwealth University. I
entered this piece in
August 2002 at the Society
of Illustrators Los Angeles
Art contest and it was published
on the Illustration 41 Web Site.

Castle of the Egg

This painting was done in Gouaghe and Watercolor.
It is based on a photograph I took in Naples, Italy
in 1997. The painting was completed in September 2001
while a student at Virginia Commonwealth University.
I also entered this piece in August 2002 at the
Society of Illustrators Los Angeles Art contest
and it also was published on the
Illustration 41 Web Site.

Capri

This painting was done in Gouaghe and Watercolor. It is based
on a photograph I took while on the Isle of Capri. The painting
was completed in October 2001 while a student at the
Virginia Commonwealth University.

Virginia Commonwealth University, in the summer of 2002.

West Broad Street Fan

This painting was done in Oil paints.
It is based on a photograph taken
on the third floor of the West Broad
Street parking deck, looking west in
Richmond, Virginia. It was completed
in November 2002 while a student at
Virginia Commonwealth University.

Strolling Down Montmartre

while in Paris, France in 2002.

while a student at Virginia

a photograph taken while in the Tuscany
region of Italy. It was completed in
December 2001 while a student at
Virginia Commonwealth University.

Afternoon in Cassis

This painting is 20” H. x 24” W.
The medium in which it was painted
was in Oil Paints and was completed
in June of 2003. It is based on a photograph
I took while in the South of France in
a port town called Cassis. It was also the first
painting I completed after graduating from
Virginia Commonwealth University.

Orchids

This is a photo.

Rotunda

20" H. x 20" W. The medium used for this
painting was Oil Paints on a Stretched Canvas.
This painting is probably my most difficult
to date. I took over 25 photographs from
different vantage points and at different
times of the day. I found that the morning
light was the most attractive to me and
took the photo that I painted from at 7:45
on a clear July morning.
This painting also took more hours to
complete than any other painting I have
done to date and was finished on March 2006.

St. Jean De Malta

Dimensions: 20" H. x 16" W.
This painting was done with Oil Paints
on a Stretched Canvas and was completed
in May of 2005. It was created from
Photographs I took while on a trip to
Aix-en-Provence in May of 2001.
I was trying to capture the unusual light
that is prevalent in the South Western
part of France.
